Our process is designed to be simple, supportive, and tailored to you. You’re planning a once-in-a-lifetime day and we’ll walk you through every step. From first contact to final delivery, we’re here to make sure your photos and videos reflect your story—beautifully, honestly, and with heart. Once you fill out our contact form, here's what to expect!

Consultation

Our first step is always a complementary consultation video call. This gives us the chance to get to know one another, discuss your vision, go over what you and your partner are looking for to preserve the moments of your day, go over our packages, what they cover, and pricing, as well as any questions y'all might have.

Book

Yay! We are so glad we get to capture and preserve the memories of your wedding day! Once you've made your decision to book with us, we will send over a contract and invoice for you to review. Your signed contract and a non-refundable retainer are due to secure your date. Payments are made in thirds if you book a year or more in advance, or halves less than a year in advance.

Planning

Before your wedding day, we will provide you with an initial questionnaire to get some basics down. We then ask that you fill out a more detailed questionnaire that is due back to us one month before your wedding date, this allows for details to be finalized and lets us plan so that we are behind the scenes and guiding you so you can simply experience your day! A few months before your wedding date we set up a meeting to talk through your timeline and any planning questions!

Get Married

The day has arrived! Let's do the dang thing and get you MARRIED!

Our team arrives 30 minutes before you're done getting ready to capture the details and the final pieces coming together. We guide you through a first look or seamlessly keep you hidden from your soon-to-be! We are primarily documenting your day from a fly on the wall/behind the scenes perspective, while stepping in during key moments, like portraits, to help you know what the heck to do with your hands!

Delivery

A sneak peek of photos and/or a highlight teaser will be delivered within the first two weeks after your wedding date. Your final images and/or videos will be delivered via an online gallery within 8-12 weeks depending on season. You will have access to free high-res and web-sized downloads of images via the gallery and all materials will be mailed to you on a custom thumb-drive as well.

FAQ

What is your style?

With our backgrounds behind the scenes, we focus on capturing the moments and genuine emotions as they happen. As the need arrises we will absolutely prompt or pose you for the gorgeous non-awkward portraits you've dreamt of (we get it, its hard to know what to do with your hands)! Our editing style is bright and true to life. When you look back at your photos/videos we want them to true to your day, so you can relive the moments as they happened! Our re-touching policy is that we will remove something that wasn't there a week ago and won't be there in a week. Your images should represent you as you are!

Tone and color editing is indicative of our particular preference as an artist, and cannot be altered after they are delivered as it would not be an accurate reflection of our published work.

How will we receive our photos/videos?

Your photographs are delivered via an online gallery, PicTime, where free high-res and web-sized downloads will be available. Prints and albums are available for purchase through the gallery, as well. With a new feature, videos are delivered through the online gallery and can be downloaded. Additionally, all captured memories will be mailed on a custom thumb-drive!

How long does it take to receive our photos and videos?

How long is our online gallery active/accessible?

Online galleries are available indefinitely, PicTime does archive high-res copies after one year. If you wish to download a high-res copy after one year, it will take a little time for it to be delivered to you. We highly recommend downloading your entire gallery when you receive it and saving it on your computer.

We also keep all files backed up on multiple hard drives forever. So, should something happen, you can always reach out to us for a copy!

Do you use a second shooter for wedding days?

Depending on the package you book, yes. We have a reliable team of three and thus have a dedicated second shooter! It allows us to be in two places at once! So if I’m photographing you getting ready, my second is photographing your partner. Which means more photos for you! Should the need arise we also have a list of second shooters that we know and trust.

Do you have liability insurance?

Absolutely! If your venue requires me to send over my certificate of insurance I can happily provide it.

Do you use a drone?

Yes, we use a drone for video! We capture footage of your ceremony site and venue before guests arrive. We do not fly it during your ceremony as your guests focus should be on YOU and the drone can be noisy and distracting. The only caveat with the drone is that we cannot take it up in heavy rain/wind or if your venue is near an airport or hospital.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we do! If you book your wedding more than a year in advance payments are to be made in thirds, if you book less than a year in advance they are to be made in halves. In either instance your first payment is a non-refundable retainer. That retainer and your signed contract will secure your date!

Do you travel for weddings? Is there a travel fee?

Yes, we travel! If your wedding is further than 90 miles from our home in Christiansburg, VA, our fee is accommodations for the night before and the night of your wedding.
